Eid Miladun Nabi: Public Holiday Announced, Security Increased

Federal and provincial authorities have notified a public holiday across Sindh on the auspicious occasion of 12th Rabiul Awal, marking the birth of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) with traditional religious fervor and widespread public devotion.

Karachi’s iconic monuments, historic mosques, and primary boulevards have been adorned with magnificent green illuminations and decorative banners, while major religious processions are scheduled to traverse traditional routes from Bolton Market to Nishtar Park.

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh finalized a comprehensive security apparatus involving more than 4,500 police officers, snipers stationed atop designated high-rises, mobile bomb disposal units, and continuous aerial surveillance along procession tracks.

Special traffic diversion corridors have been mapped out by the traffic police to facilitate public movement while keeping emergency routes to major healthcare facilities completely unobstructed.
