K-Electric Announces Power Outage Schedule for 60+ Feeders

K-Electric has issued a public notice detailing scheduled maintenance outages across more than sixty 11kV distribution feeders spanning Karachi Central, Korangi, and District East between Tuesday and Thursday.

The power utility clarified that the temporary shutdowns, averaging between three to five hours per sector, are required to install higher-capacity transformers, replace aged overhead lines, and carry out substation preventive servicing to fortify grid stability.

Affected neighborhoods include segments of Federal B Area, Gulistan-e-Jauhar Block 14 to 19, Landhi Industrial Area, and PECHS Block 2. Essential civic services including major public hospitals and water pumping installations have been exempted from the maintenance shutdowns.
